دورية علمية محكمة نصف سنوية متخصصة في دراسات تاريخ الجزيرة العربية وحضارتها على مر العصور، تصدر في شهري (يناير– يوليو) عن مركز الملك سلمان لدراسات تاريخ الجزيرة العربية وحضارتها بجامعة الملك سعود تحت اسم "مجلة دراسات في تاريخ الجزيرة العربية وحضارتها". وتُعنى بنشر البحوث، والدراسات، ومراجعات الكتب، وملخصات الرسائل العلمية، باللغة الإنجليزية.  

تتطلع المجلة أن تكون عالمية مفهرسة يمكن الوصول إليها إلكترونياً، ورائدة في ميدان نشر البحوث في تاريخ الجزيرة العربية وحضارتها. فضلاً عن سعيها إلى نشر دراسات نقدية لأحدث الإصدارات العربية والعالمية عن تاريخ الجزيرة العربية وحضارتها.

تسعى المجلة لتصبح مرجعًا علميًّا للباحثين وطلبة العلم في تاريخ الجزيرة العربية وحضارتها، لتزويدهم بالمعارف والمهارات، انطلاقاً من الثقافة العربية والإسلامية، والتراث الإنساني.

-   نشر البحوث والدراسات التاريخية والحضارية المحكمة في ميدان تاريخ الجزيرة العربية وحضارتها.

-   التطلع إلى مشاركة الباحثين وطلاب الدراسات العليا، وحثهم على مزيد من التجويد والتدقيق في أبحاثهم المتعلقة بتاريخ الجزيرة العربية وحضارتها.

-  استقطاب الباحثين في مجال الدراسات التاريخية والحضارية للجزيرة العربية.

تستهدف المجلة عدد كبير من الباحثين في داخل الوطن وخارجه، ففي الداخل سوف تحظى باهتمام أقسام التاريخ والحضارة بالمملكة العربية السعودية التي تضم مئات من أعضاء هيئة التدريس وآلاف من طلاب الدراسات العليا المتخصصين في تاريخ الجزيرة العربية وحضارتها، أما في المحيطين الإقليمي والدولي فسوف تحظى المجلة باهتمام مؤسسات أكاديمية مرموقة في المنطقة والعالم، يحتفظ مركز الملك سلمان بتواصل دائم ومستمر معها، نتيجة لاحتضانه عدداً من الأنشطة العالمية المهمة أبرزها جائزة الملك سلمان العالمية للدراسات العليا في تاريخ الجزيرة العربية وحضارتها، والندوة العالمية لدراسات تاريخ الجزيرة العربية التي بلغ عدد دورات انعقادها تسع دورات على مدار أكثر من أربعين عاماً، والملتقى الدولي للكراسي والمراكز العلمية الممولة سعودياً في الخارج في دورتيه الأولى والثانية، حضره أكثر من ثلاثين مركزاً علمياً تحتضنها أرقى الجامعات العالمية.

Definition

         A semi-annual refereed scholarly journal in the studies of the history and civilization of the Arabian Peninsula published in the months (January - July) by the King Salman’s Center for Historical and Civilization Studies of the Arabian Peninsula at King Saud University. It is concerned with publishing researches, studies, book reviews, and abstracts of university thesis in English.

Vision

        Journal aspires to be an international, indexed, accessible electronically, and a pioneer in the field of research publishing in the history and civilization of the Arabian Peninsula. In addition to its endeavor to publish critical studies of the latest Arab and international publications on the history and civilization of the Arabian Peninsula.

Mission

The magazine seeks to become a scientific reference for researchers and students of the history and civilization of the Arabian Peninsula, to provide them with knowledge and skills, based on Arab and Islamic culture, and human heritage.

Objectives

- Publishing refereed historical and cultural research in the field of history and civilization of the Arabian Peninsula.

- Looking forward to the participation of researchers and post- graduate students, and urging them to further improve and scrutinize their research on the history and civilization of the Arabian Peninsula.

- Attracting researchers in the field of historical and civilizational studies of the Arabian Peninsula.

Targeted researchers

The magazine targets a great number of researchers inside and outside the kingdom. Inside the kingdom, it will gain the attention of the departments of history and civilization in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia that includes hundreds of faculty members and thousands of postgraduate students specialized in the history and civilization of the Arabian Peninsula. As for the regional and international sides, the journal will gain the attention of prestigious academic institutions in the region and the world which the King Salman’s  Center maintains a constant and continuous contact with them as a result of its hosting of a number of important global activities, most notably    King Salman’s International Prize for Postgraduate Studies in the History and Civilization of the Arabian Peninsula, the International Symposium for Studies of the History of the Arabian Peninsula which has held nine sessions over a period of more than Forty years and the International Forum for Chairs and Scientific Centers funded by Saudi Arabia abroad in its first and second sessions which  attended by more than thirty scientific centers hosted by the most prestigious international universities.
